It has been a while since I’ve posted anything on Epic Passive Income. But instead of making a long, drawn out article about it, I will get straight to the point as to why I have gone AWOL and what the future entails.
The Writer Town Project:
A few months ago I announced my new website, Writer Town. It focuses on broad subjects and building a community of writers and readers alike.
Instead of targeting a niche market like many bloggers and marketers do, I felt compelled to make a place that fits everyone. People from all walks of life can freely go, sign up and start publishing articles. Think of it as a hybrid between a content mill and a guest-posting-website.
If you haven’t yet explored everything Writer Town has to offer, it essentially comes down to giving power to the writer. Some of the highlights include:
- You may post new articles based on any topic
- Earn 100% revenue share by placing your ad code into your articles
- You may insert self-serving links (including affiliate) as long as they help get your point across and are not spammy
- You receive a weekly newsletter disclosing many high-paying writing clients
- A blogging job board is available, featuring many paying gigs
- Your name, article(s) and website may be featured in our ever-growing newsletter
The above features naturally require ongoing maintenance, which includes researching, preparing and writing those emails and much more. I occasionally also publish my own articles on the site.
Needless to say, Writer Town has kept me quite busy. But sites like these also keep me highly motivated and passionate about my work.
I get to help and connect with other writers and bloggers, and the whole project feels more like a hobby rather than actual work. After all, there is nothing better than loving what you do!
I haven’t been producing new books as of late due to life getting in the way, but I still do enjoy writing a short book every once in a while. However, I have a renewed interest in resuming book publishing at full force sometime soon, which means I will remain quite busy.
Book Earning Reports:
Considering my lack of focus on book publishing, though, I have to say that I will stop posting my book earnings, for the most part.
My average income ranges from $500 to $700 as of 2014, which is not too bad for someone who hasn’t really published much in a while. I will probably report on these sometime in the future once I actually have something meaningful to report.
Resuming Course on Epic Passive Income:
Sometimes it’s tough to focus on various projects at the same time, and it is generally advised you only put your mind only to one or two ventures at a time, depending on the work involved and how much you can handle.
The one thing that often helps me manage is simply obeying an old-fashioned to-do list, which works wonders when your mind is as active as mine often is.
In fact, I probably would not have launched Writer Town if I hadn’t written down a daily list of the things I wanted (and needed) to perform on the site.
This goes beyond writing articles and newsletters, as it also involves heavy promotion and answering questions from interested writers who come and join the site.
Now that the dust has somewhat settled, though, I am looking to resume my work on Epic Passive Income and continue to publish topics based on business, marketing, making money and everything related.
That’s about it, folks. I will be seeing you again here soon!
