After spending some time analyzing some niches on Amazon, I started writing ONLY for the winning categories. If you’re curious, these mainly include romance, and occasionally some science fiction.
I?ll be honest here: I was only expecting to earn some pocket change from the Kindle, maybe enough to pay for some gas. Anywhere from $50 to $70 would have made my happy. However, since Demand Media was no longer providing much of an income, I got desperate and had to put my brain to work.
I published about 7 books in November 2011 alone. Most of these books were rather simplistic yet effective. They provided the information users were looking for, and then some. Anyway, the end of November soon surprised me, as you can see from some of my income reports.
It goes to show that making money online is still a strong possibility. While content farms are suffering, there?s always something else out there. You simply have to look, analyze your plan, and finally execute it. Stay strong and keep attacking the same strategy. If it?s not working, look for its weaknesses and improve upon it.
